Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know anything about technology already?
Not a thing. Most of the people we help are starting from scratch, and that's exactly who we're here for. We begin wherever you are and go from there.
Do you come to my home, or is it online?
Both. Most people prefer we come to their home here in Orange County. If you'd rather not have a visitor, we can help over the phone or a video call instead.
Is it one-on-one, or a class?
Always one-on-one. It's just you and your coach, focused entirely on what you want to learn. No classrooms, and no keeping up with a group.
What kind of devices do you help with?
iPhones and Android phones, iPads and tablets, laptops and desktops (Windows or Mac), smart TVs, smart speakers, printers, and more. If it has a screen or a plug, we can probably help.
Will I have something to look back on afterward?
Yes. After every visit you keep a printed, large-print guide written for your exact device, so you're never stuck the next time you try it on your own.
Are your coaches background-checked?
Yes. Every coach is background-checked, respectful, and vetted before they ever come to your door. Your safety and comfort come first.
Can you help my parent when I can't be there?
That's a big part of what we do. We become the patient, local person your parent can call, and we're glad to update you after a visit.
What if I forget everything between visits?
Completely normal, and it's exactly why we leave written guides and go at your pace. Forgetting a step is never a problem; we'll happily go over it again.
Do you offer visits just for company, without the tech?
Yes. Some of our visits are simply good company: conversation over coffee, a hand with photos, or a video call to family. See our Company & Conversation page for more.
Which areas do you serve?
Homes across Orange County, including Irvine, Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, and nearby communities. Remote help is available anywhere close by.
